Believe it or not, I borrowed this line from one of the members of the now defunct group, Prettier than pink, oftentimes claiming is as my own.
I was probably around 13 that time, and was on my freshman year in high school I think. I was starting to explore the world of music, listening to different bands and found myself buying a copy of the band’s album self titled (which has the song Cool ka lang) Prettier than pink. This line came from the bassist I think and it struck me, real hard.
It was like my future being foretold, that my life is going to be all about it, I live, breathe, love and everything that makes up who I am is about music.
I do not mean to be blasphemous, its obviously a figure of speech, I believe in God, but my soul rests on it… Among the most beautiful gift that God gave us the finest would be music.
My passion is music. Even when I write, a faint tune plays in my head. In silence it echoes, and when it drowns with all the noise in this world, it pierces through chaos and plays on.
